PRP Vampire facial

Are you not ready for fillers (yet), but would you like your skin to look much smoother, tighter, and younger? Then look no further than for the innovative PRP treatment. The key to PRP is that it uses your plasma to encourage your skin to rejuvenate itself. This may seem a little scary, but it isn’t; Hollywood celebrities get this treatment two weeks before the Oscars so they can appear on the red carpet with a beautiful, fresh glow.

This originally Swiss technique makes use of the growth factors that are present in your blood. A small amount of blood is removed from your arm, after which the blood is centrifuged so that the platelet-rich plasma is separated from the rest of the blood. This plasma is applied virtually painlessly into the deeper skin layers of your face with a very thin needle. The remainder of the plasma is then used to your face and channelled into the superficial skin layer through micro-needling with the Dermapen 4. With micro-needling, we apply controlled micro-damage to your skin so that the fibroblasts start producing more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid: the critical ingredients for more radiant, firmer and younger-looking skin. This promotes collagen formation. You won’t experience any pain and can resume your social activities the next day. However, during the first week, you should avoid extreme heat and cold (such as sauna, solarium, and winter sports).

PRP can improve a variety of skin problems:

  • Skin texture, colour, and tone

  • Broken capillaries and pores

  • Acne scars, burns, or surgery scars

  • Skin ageing and skin discolouration from sun damage

  • Fine lines and thinner skin

  • PRP can also stimulate the hair root

PRP with radio frequency micro-needling
for extra skin tightening

APS now offers PRP treatments with RF micro-needling as a significant boost. With this treatment, we channel the plasma into the skin with Radio Frequency micro-needling. This system's heat is drawn deep into the dermis, providing additional tightening compared to PRP with Dermapen 4 micro-needling alone. The main advantage of Radio Frequency is that it penetrates deeper into the skin, targeting deeper scars and sun damage.

Our state-of-the-art RF micro-needling equipment has a head with 25 or 64 gold needles used only for you, which we store for future treatments. The golden needles penetrate your skin vertically – so there are no scratches! – creating thousands of microchannels per second. The Radio Frequency triggers the body to fill these microchannels with collagen. Result: tighter, fresher, smoother skin with a more beautiful, even tone. Each treatment is bespoke because Dr Pirayesh applies the most appropriate needle depth to each area of your face – such as around the eyes, cheeks and neck.

PRP with RF micro-needling can improve a wide range of skin problems:

  • Tightens sagging skin from the age of 35 skin

  • Texture, colour and tone

  • Broken capillaries and large pores

  • Acne scars

  • Ageing, fine lines and thinner skin

  • Skin discolouration due to sun damage

During the treatment

We start by removing your makeup. We numb your skin with cream so that you feel next to nothing during the treatment. The treatment takes about an hour, and you will experience little to no downtime. After the micro-needling, we will apply a moisturising collagen mask and LED light therapy to soothe the skin.

After the treatment

Your skin may become a little red, and you will experience some afterglow; this will disappear after a few hours to a day. Because your skin can become a bit dry in the first few days after the treatment, it is essential to moisturise well. We recommend you wear an SPF 30 and not expose your face to the sun or use a tanning bed for 2 weeks. Retinol is not recommended for the first period after treatment.

Treatment schedule for best results

The best results are obtained with 4 treatments per year, with an interval of 4 weeks between treatments. Unlike skin therapists who follow a set protocol with all clients, APS recommends an adapted treatment schedule for different skin types:

Younger skin with the aim of visible skin improvement

A course of 4 PRP treatments with Dermapen per year with an interval of 4 weeks between treatments

Mature skin with the aim of visible skin improvement
and tightening

A course of 2 PRP treatments with Dermapen and
2 PRP treatments with RF micro-needling, alternately, with an interval of 4 weeks between treatments
